Do I need to change my EMR or phone system?

No. Mimic integrates with your existing systems — EMR, calendar, phone — without requiring any changes to your current workflow. We connect with leading practice management systems via NexHealth, including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Athena, ModMed, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, and more.

Can I control what the AI says to patients?

Absolutely. You approve all scripts, set rules for what topics the AI can discuss, and define when calls should be escalated to your team. You're always in control.

Is Mimic HIPAA compliant?

Yes. We sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every customer before accessing any patient data. All data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We provide 10-day breach notification, comprehensive audit logging, and store data exclusively in US-based data centers.

What happens if the AI can't handle a call?

Mimic is designed to know its limits. If a call involves a clinical question, an angry patient, or anything outside its scope, it immediately transfers to your team with full context of the conversation.

Do you train AI on my patient data?

No. We contractually prohibit using your data to train AI or machine learning models. This is written into every customer agreement. Your patient data is never used to improve our models.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You get 60 days to export everything in a standard, machine-readable format at no additional cost. After that, we securely delete it.

What's the contract term?

Month-to-month. Either party can cancel with 30 days' written notice. No annual lock-in, no penalties.

We integrate with leading practice management and EHR systems via NexHealth, including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Athena, ModMed, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, and more. We also work with popular phone systems like Weave, Dialpad, RingCentral, and 8x8.
